What is BJJ?
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art and combat sport based off of grappling and submission holds. Jiu-Jitsu teaches a smaller person how to use proper technique and leverage to defend themselves against a larger opponent. The goal of BJJ is to take down an opponent, gain positional control, then apply a submission hold via joint lock or chokehold.
